This week I ordered an iPad mini with retina display. It was the first time I order a electronic device at the first day it goes on sale. At 5:00 am, Nov 12th, I find that the apple online store had been closed and upgraded. Then it opened again and the iPad mini with retina display hit the shelves. I selected the model I want and checked out immediately. Because according to the market prediction report I have read, ipad mini would be out of stock frequently in the early one or two months. I order it so quickly to make sure I can get one not too soon.
Why do I buy it? Mostly because it has some properties that really attracted me. Firstly, as people can see in its name, the new screen with high resolution. I just think it is better for my eye health. But that's not important. What made me want to order it is that the processor. If people have some knowledge about the architecture of the processor, they would know that this time the processor has a great advance. The last reason is that the system and user interface also improved a lot.
I am a person that like to play and try lots of electronic devices, I have many smartphones and tablets. Based on my own experience about them, I write a list about the factors that contribute to my desire to purchase in my mind. In most of the conditions I would like to consider the device's operating system and application ecosystem first. Then I will consider the performance. The user interface and the appearance is what I consider at last. Why are those factors listed in that order? Because I order those factors due to how much it affected to my experience of using. When I use the electronic device, actually I am using the application runs in it but not the processor. So how many applications the operating system has and their quality is the most important. Then I will need a better performance device that can run these apps well. Both of the software and the hardware change so fast these years, each year the software requires higher hardware performance. So not so good performance would cause so bad experience. I care less about the appearance because it can be changed by consumers, and the UI would definitely be beautiful if a system has huge amount of apps. There is always a good choice in large amount of choices.

Right about talking
Talking in a public place request other’s permission, or you
are sure that no one against you. I have found that many students in my
residence hall talking all the time, they talking in their room, talking in the
hall way, and talking in the lounge room. Talking everywhere, anytime, seems
that they never feel tired, never feel thirsty, and never stop. It makes so hard for me to find a place to study in the residence hall. It caused a lot of
inconvenience. I don’t want to walk outside for too long in the winter. But now, I only spend few hours on sleeping in the residence hall, all of others time I study ,read or watch something outside. I have talked to these people, and it did not work. I have also talked to RA and other stuffs of the recidence hall, they said that was a problem about different culture, and want me to understand. I was appreciate that they helped a lot. The environment is more orderly now. But they were wrong. There is nothing about culture. It is just my personal hobby that I would like to study in a quite place, and that is not important. What important problem is, the problem is not a culture problem, but something is right or wrong.
A person do not have the right to talking in every place except his or her personal place, or there should be other rules that show to everybody. What place means here is how big the area that the sound of the talking can be heard. For example, a person cannot talking very loudly in his house. It seems that the house is a personnal place, but the area which is covered by the sound is not belongs to him. It sounds a little strange, and maybe hard for people to believe that they don't have the right to talk. But I think it is true. Talking right is not a part of the human right. What human right is the right belongs to individual person. Talking right is not that kind of right, obviously when you talk to someone, it is not a right belongs to you, it belongs to everyone who takes a part in or can heard this talk. So it is easy to figure out that everyone should get others permission before they start talking. That is confused, because people must wonder why we don't do that every time and we still can have a good conversation most of the time. That is because, although we should do that reasonably, but it is not gonna happen in our real life. It definitely waste lots of time. But we are humans, we have intelligence. We create a new way to rule this activity. That is, people can talk if everyone agrees or no one raises objection with it. Most of the times, the second condition happens. When we make a conversation, usually we are happy to do that, so we don't need to determine that.
That's why I think it is not about culture but they are wrong. Believe it or not, China does a better job than US on this problem. I used to call the police to let a person stop talking in China. I haven't thought of that, until I saw it by myself, I found it is true that in some area like this, China protect human right better than US. Soccer league in junior high school
These days I start play soccer with my friends in weekend, it make me recall the times I play soccer with my school mates in junior high school. I think a lot about the difference of sports activities in school between my hometown and here when I find that many friends here are so good at playing.
In my junior high school, there was a soccer field that overgrown with grass. It looked so green, yes, and you would find no one when you looked at it. And that was the reason why it looks so green, because it was used with such a low frequency, the grass grew very well. Then why was that happened? Why did students almost never played soccer on it? It was because teachers and principal thought that would have a bad influence on our study. Not only they held that opinion, but most of the educators in my home town agreed with that.
An idea came into my mind later, I used a tennis ball as a soccer, and made two goals myself, then I putted them on the square in front of the teaching building to made a little soccer field. I asked some friends played soccer on it at the break. I did the same thing every day, as time went by, the game became a soccer league that lots of school mates joined us. It was really a memorable time we could have fun together.
Sport fans all over the world are known that in the Olympic Games, though China often won the first place of the medals table, we only won the gold medal from individual competitions. They often feels strange that why China can't get a good grade on team sports. The true story above gave the answer, when most of the people don't have time or was not allowed to do some sport activities they like, citizens will become unhealthy. It is possible that one or two people ,in 1.3 billion people, are genius that still do a good job and can won the gold medals in the Olympic game. But that thing definitely won't happen 11 times to build a soccer team.
I am happy that some of the educators in my home town realized what was the problem. When I went to high school, we had different school rules, we can play soccer on the soccer field at the break time. They still limited the time we play, we could only play in the afternoon. But change was good, I hope that more they could realize more and do more changes in the future. So that citizens will become healthier. It's really beneficial to all of us.

Family design
I got interested in a new and controversial topic, which is called "Family design", when I looked for cars I liked these days. The family design is a new design concept. According to what I know, the original family design concept had appeared in 1960s. It wasn't the real family design. Just like the Alfa Romeo's cars at that time, all of them have the same shield grille in their former faces, and all the Aston Martin's cars have the same inverted trapezoid grille. So the original family design is actually just some products from an automobile company share only one or two same shaped parts.
About 40 years later, the real family design came into being in the 21th century. I think this tendency was leaded by the Volkswagen. Walter de Silva, who was the young design director of the Seat of the Volkswagen Company, designed a coupe called tango in 2001. Tango had double waistlines, big mouth shield grille, and hollowed-out steering wheel. That was the beginning of modern family design. During the next four to five years, all the Seat cars had the double waistlines, big mouth shield grille, and hollowed-out steering wheel design, and all of them had the same shaped headlights. They all looked the same. Then Walter de Silva became the design director of the Volkswagen and Audi. He created the Golf 5 and Audi A5, then all the Volkswagen cars had almost the same face with Golf 5, all the Audi cars had the same face with Audi A5. He was the designer who made family design became popular all over the world.
The modern family design made the cars from one brand looked so similar. Some people and media laugh at that and said "The most happiness job in the world is the designer of Volkswagen, he only need to go to work one day every five years. Then he just need to enlarge and shrink the car to different sizes to finish the designs of all products." I think the family design is a big tendency in today's world, almost all TOP 20 automobile companies are using family design. This tendency is irreversible. Because of its many advantages. It can save money for the car companies. For examples, many car company used to have a thousand people's design team, after using family design, they don't need that many people anymore. Family design can also shows a company's culture. Like all the BMW cars have the angel eyes design, showing that the car is powerful and comfortable.
To draw a conclusion, I believe the family design will be more and more popular. On the other hand, designer or design teams need to show some of their work in each car, so that the car can be more beautiful and easier for customers to accept.

Rainstorm in Ningbo
I'm sad to know that these days a rainstorm hit my hometown, Ningbo. I saw one of the hot topics of this week on Weibo, the biggest Chinese social network, is that a typhoon named Fitow hit the Zhejiang Province, and cause a rainstorm in Ningbo. It is the biggest rainstorm Ningbo has ever met in last 60 years. The big rainstorm bring a flood to Ningbo.
The flood reflect the good of humanity. The social network like Weibo played a large role during the flood. I saw friends and other people post and transmit a lot of information on Weibo, so I can know the happening of the rainstorm even earlier than the time I saw mews about it. Then more and more information have been posted to Weibo, people who were stuck send the message about their location and what goods they need, people who got separated with their families tried to get in touch with each other, and many people use the social network tells other the condition of the disaster on their area to help police and volunteers get the information they need.The local government also choose Weibo as the fastest official information distribution channel. And these large amount of information make others easier to help the people who are in trouble. The social network take the place of the traditional media and become the most important media during the flood. And the social network shows more power in helping people, because it is faster and base on person. So that more volunteers and more goods can get there, because we know more. In the time of the traditional media, donate some money is the only thing we can do during the disaster. Society is better and better continually, and motivate people's humanity.
On the other hand, the rainstorm shows many problem we didn't pay enough attention to. Our drainage system is still not work very well, though we talk about it every rainy season. It seems that government are always discuss about upgrade the system but haven't do anything really. And our rescue system also needs to improve their ability, to keep the power supplying, and use different method to offer the goods to people. I think they need more air power, like more helicopter. But in general, the government and the police did a good job, of course people always want them be better, and they should try their best to be better.
At last, hope everyone are fine and we can overcome the disaster soon.

Chinese soccer
These days many soccer fans in China talk about the news that a Chinese soccer club went into the final of the Asian Champions League. It is a big news, because Chinese soccer team seems haven't achieve any good result for about 9 years, after the national team won the second prize in the Asian Cup in 2004.
In China, soccer is always a big topic,a focus of controversy, and sometimes a joke. China has the most soccer fans in the world. But all of them is wondering why although we have a population of 1.3 billion, we can't find just 11 people who play soccer well. During last 9 years, both of the national team and the soccer club lose so many games. But it is strange that the last decade is the time soccer become the most popular game in China, because of the rapid spread of the television and Internet. So the fans become more and the players become fewer, which really confuse us. And that is the reason that soccer club come to be a focus. We get good grade again, People want to know why and what should we do.
This time is a special phenomenon, Chinese soccer team become powerful again, not because we really have a good environment. It because of the development of the economy of China. We build bigger sports center, buy high-tech equipment, have better foreign soccer players, and invite professional coach. All of these do improve the ability of local players, but not really work. The main reason we won a lot of games again is we invest more money to soccer.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that it obviously a great chance for our soccer. We won the game, and attract fans, soccer come back to the headline of the newspaper. And we have enough money, we have enough population. It is a chance for us to expand the market of soccer, to hold more different grade leagues, to establish more soccer school. We need to catch this chance to solve the fundamental problem, the best way to develop is to increase the population of soccer players, just like Brazil and Spain, they have millions of young players so that when they grow up, the best of them will combine a strong soccer team. And other people also can join teams in different grade league to make money. We should learn the model of healthy soccer market.

I'm sleepy
I feel sleepy all the week. The total time I spend on sleeping is about 12 hours from Monday to Friday. It really drives me crazy.
It seems like every night there are some people chatting with others till the next day. I know that chatting or talking is their right, but I also know that talking in a loud voice and disturbing the people who are sleeping or going to sleeping is definitely not their right. On the contrary, it is their response to keep in a low voice that enough for them to hear and would not be heard by others. I don't know why they are so active at night, probably because they don't have class at the next day morning. I also could not understand why they don't just speak in a low voice so that they would be happy to chat and we would be happy to sleep. Obviously it is not very hard for them to do, it also would not cost them any money or let them do a lot of work. And I have told them but it did not work. And chatting every night not only disturb me when I sleep but also when I study at night. The noise makes me can't concentrate on reading or testing sometimes. I consider a lot about these things, so I keep quite or in low voice all the time when I study. I'll talk to them again and maybe talk to the residence hall officer too, I just want to sleep enough and be active in classes tomorrow morning.
There are some people who are not chatting all night, but they have another problem. They watch TV and play video until very late. And it looks like they never use their earphone and always make a lot of noise when they play games. The problem is just like the first problem, that they don't have right to bother others. In addition, some people often make phone calls in a loud voice.It is really interesting that in China, I often hear the news remind us to be courtesy, because of some Chinese people did something dis-courteousness in other country. So it is the first time I found dis-courteousness behavior in the US. I am surprised.
Really hope that people can be friendly to each other and I can sleep enough. I am a student, I want to study and I don't want to be sleepy anymore.
